Nominate someone you know.&nbsp; Awards such as these help youth stand out when applying for college, university and positions in the workforce. <\/P>\n<P><STRONG>North Carolina Outstanding Volunteer Service Awards<BR><\/STRONG>This annual award marks the 29th anniversary of the program that showcases North Carolina\'s most dedicated volunteers.&nbsp; Through the years, North Carolinians have proven their concern and compassion for their neighbors by volunteering in their local communities.&nbsp; <\/P>\n<P>Each county may select five individuals, businesses, and\/or groups to be recognized for their outstanding contribution to their communities.&nbsp; Youth and youth organizations will be considered as well. One of the five recipients will be nominated to receive a new award, the North Carolina Outstanding Volunteer Medallion. The Wayne County Association of Volunteer Administrators evaluates the nominations.&nbsp; <\/P>\n<P><STRONG>Prudential Spirit of Community Awards<BR><\/STRONG>The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honor young people in middle level and high school grades for outstanding volunteer service to their communities. Created in 1995 by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the awards constitute the United States\' largest youth recognition program based solely on volunteering.
